For years I worked out. I would spend an hour a day, three to five days a week "working out". I did cardio workouts in the gym by running on the treadmill or an elliptical machine and lifted weights. I did this for my adult life and always looked the same, wondering why after all those hours I looked.. well, the same. Then I discovered a new way to work out. Matt Baehr introduced me to high intensity interval training used in his boot camp workouts. In the beginning, I could not complete an entire session. I kept returning because it added a lot of variety to my routine ~ the techniques in the sessions change all the time. It completely changed how I keep myself in shape. I started to notice real changes. Things I didn't know I was able to do became easy for me! I can do push ups now, real ones! I noticed, for the first time in my life, definition in my arms and abs (yes-AFTER kids). I had an increased endurance in cardio exercises... like running, cycling, and swimming. I found myself implementing techniques I learned from Matt in my own workouts to keep consistency. I looked forward to the sessions because each time I could see improvement. This is the basis for the sessions ~ focused improvement and results. You will find if you make the commitment to come to camp consistently and participate you will absolutely see results. This year I am proud to say that I have completed two sprint triathlons and finished in the top 10 in my age group, and thought it was fun! This is something I know I would not have accomplished without the focus and diverse methods of training found in Spartan Boot Camp. Thanks Matt!
